UPVC Replacement Door Handles
As time passes the handles on your doors will wear out and require replacement. When doing this it is essential that the new handles conform to the critical dimensions of the old handle.

Inline Lever/Lever
A lever handle is a contemporary door handle that is designed to fit new or replacement doors. This kind door handle is available in a wide range of styles and finishes. A variety of manufacturers provide this handle including Avocet, ERA, Fullex, Hoppe, Mila, Millenco & Yale.

The uPVC/Composite handles are made from durable materials, and are ideal for multi-point lock doors that require a strong design. The handles are inline and use the same screws and spindle to fix them. They can be easily mounted on a new or existing uPVC/Composite door.
The sprung lever design allows the handle to be positioned and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. The handle has been endurance-tested to 200,000 cycles. This ensures that the finish is of high quality and performance over time. The sprung lever is also adjustable to fit a broad range of locks. This is particularly useful for doors with narrower openings where the cylinder is further away from the door. A lever that is shorter can be used for doors that have a latch which can be operated with the thumb inside.
Lever Pad
The lever pad upvc handle is different from the lever handles found on most doors. These handle types are either operated by one spindle or two spindles, either inline or offset. They are usually used on UPVC double glazed doors. They come in a variety of styles and styles.
The handles have been tested to at least 200 000 cycles and are available in several finishes including White Silver, Chrome, & Gold. The finish is compliant with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, thereby giving the handle a high level of durability and performance for the intended use.

It is important to match the PZ dimensions of both the multipoint lock and the uPVC doors when choosing a replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement is also called 'handle centres' or cylinder centres'. It is important for matching the correct handles.
After you have identified the correct size of PZ and the correct PZ size, you must make sure that the push and lever pads are designed to fit the American with Disabilities Act compliant handles you require for your door. Euro Cylinder
Cylinder locks are commonly found on uPVC doors, but they can be utilized on other types of doors. They work by using a key that unlock a cylinder that then reveals pins which can be aligned with the pins in the lock body, permitting them to turn a revolving cam, thus opening the door. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins, with both internal and external doors typically needing different levels of security.

Most modern cylinders are made with anti-drill and bump resistance features that are built into their design. These features are designed to minimize the risk of attack by forcing the cylinder rotate in an opposite direction. This can to deflect an attack and ensure your door is secure.
There are also cylinders that are made to withstand snapping. This is a typical attack on cylinders. A specific tool is used to break the break line of the lock and then the front of cylinder is snapped off. This is a quicker and more convenient method of gaining access than using a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the burglary which could delay insurance claims.
Spring Cassette
This spring cassette sits inside the base of your door handle backplate providing a sprung solution and returning the multipoint lock handles back to their original position after usage. These handles used to have no spring and would drop when the locking mechanism was disconnected. Adding this simple component is among the best methods to correct this, and is a great way to prevent your doors made of upvc from becoming stuck in the open or closed position, as these are not always easy to manually close by hand.
The spring cassettes were made to be used with sprung multipoint lock. They will not fit handles that aren't sprung and you'll have to cut a hole into your backplate in order for them to fit. (Please check the image for a detailed diagram). These cassettes can be used as a replacement for damaged or missing cassettes in the backplate of uPVC door handles. They are available as a single unit. They feature a square cut out that accommodates an 8mm shaft.
